About the Club
The Lian Yee Health Club offers a traditional teaching of Chinese martial arts, according to "the way of the style". At the Club, learning and practicing Wing Chun Chuan and Tai Chi Chuan is performed in a spirit of non-violence, cooperation and mutual respect.
Wing Chun Kung Fu
An internal and extremely effective
martial art system
Wing Chun is an internal martial art. It emphasizes using the opponent’s energy to your advantage. You will learn this art in a spirit of non-violence, cooperation, and respect. And you will get in shape while developing patience, softness, sensitivity and self-awareness.
The curriculum covers the complete system of Wing Chun, including forms, Chi Sao, sparring and self-defence, wooden dummy and weapons. Learn the complete art in a traditional way.
Tai Chi Chuan
A martial art in its own right
Rooted in Taoist philosophy, Tai Chi Chuan is an internal martial art that stands out for its sequences of slow and fluid motions. The regular practice of Tai Chi helps develop patience and concentration, balance and coordination. It also helps improve breathing and circulation, and strengthens bones and muscles.
The curriculum includes bare hands and weapons forms, the exercise of push hands (practiced by two people), and various self-defence techniques.
